Rachel Comey >
Fans such as Maggie Gyllenhaal and Kirsten Dunst go to Rachel Comey for her vintage feel and slightly masculine yet charming style. Rachel Comey, who began in sculpture, designed menswear for Theory and then started her womens wear line in 2004, is influenced by the music scene and her quirky style is best illustrated in her “twofer” cardigan – that looks like two cardigans in one!

Her Fall line incorporates original print-heavy fabrics and modern silhouettes.

Demylee >
Designer Demy Lee wanted to design what she appreciated most in her own closet, something she reached for just about every day... sweaters.  Born in Korea, Lee studied at Parsons School of Design and held design positions at Calvin Klein, Gap Inc., and helped launch Tory Burch.

The collection, called Demylee, is focused solely on cashmere from Inner Mongolian goats, which produce the finest cashmere fiber known - which is the foundation for all of the designs.

Lee’s sweaters are designed in such a way that they are current, appealing to both the downtown girl as well as those who want something classic, a mix of understated, elegant and modern.

A' DETACHER >
A' DETACHER is French for “to detach” - designer, Mona Kowalska, believes her customer should remove the label from inside her garment to make it her own.  A noble cause that could only be espoused by someone with a precise and unwavering sense of design such as Kowalska.

After running Sonia Rykiel’s Paris design studio, she opened her stylish Nolita boutique in 1998 and only began wholesaling in the US last season.

A' DETACHER is for those who like a touch of the avant-garde – sharply edged and architectural, often pulled in with thin leather belts like harnesses, or with surprising little clusters of gathers.

Annelore >
Juliana Cho, a Fashion Institute of Technology and Catherine Malandrino-alum, is the designer behind “Annelore” – a NYC based label that is known for its gorgeous tailoring, original fabrics, and vintage-inspired elegance.

Julianne Moore and Stella Tenant, fans of Annelore, exemplify the poise and sophistication seen in the understated daytime pieces.

Bruce >
Parson's grads Nicole Noselli and Daphne Gutierrez re-launched their label Bruce in 2007 (after a three year hiatus), to audible sighs of relief from editors and fans who appreciate their precise, low-key approach to the classics.  Bruce was founded in the mid-nineties, and they won the CFDA's Perry Ellis Award for Womens wear in 2001.   Their Fall collection is perfect for the low-key, sophisticated urbanite.
