Black and White

The Simple Beauty of Black and White

Black and/or white are classics that never go out of style and go with everything! Enjoy our first email, of a three part series, on our top finds for Spring/Summer

LWD WITH BACK DETAIL - This LWD by Alexis is an employee favorite and is sure to fly out the door. Feminine and delicate from the front and a knock out from the back, this versatile dress would look equally fabulous at a rehearsal dinner, or with sneakers during the day.

Lace is a favorite of ours and we're happy to see its a trend thats sticking around for a long time to come (the Fall collections are full of it - yah!). So invest now in one of these pretty dresses and throw on a leather jacket until the weather warms up.

Shoulder details are one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer and these two dresses show the variety available. From a pretty crochet dress by See by Chloe to a dramatic one sleeve asymmetrical dress by Solace you'll look white hot!

Here is a more modern take on the LWD. Marques Almeida's has fabulous sleeve details and a cool young vibe. Adam Selmans will look sleek and stunning on hot balmy nights over Summer.

LBD DAY-TO-NIGHT - These simple yet elegant black dresses by Philosophy and T by Alexander Wang will brighten up your summer collection. These unique day-to-evening dresses are a perfect addition to your vacation wardrobe.

Dresses with black and white are super chic - the SJYP for day, and the Alexis for night.

These jumpsuits by See by Chloe and Solace are elegant and unique. They can both be worn as more 'formal' wear when paired with heels, but transform them into a daytime outfit with a pair of wedges or sandals.

Opposites Attract

Separates in black and/or white are the most versatile pieces you can add to your wardrobe for Summer.  They are easy to pair with everything you already own and give your wardrobe a quick refresh. Go dramatic in a monotone ensemble (loving all white!) or chic when worn together for a black and white Parisian look!  Enjoy our second email, of a three part series, on our favorite B&W separates for Spring/Summer.

Lace up tops have just the right amount of va-va-voom.  Great for in-between weather or for day to night - imagine the surprise when you take off your jacket after work!

When it heats up you'll be glad you have these barely there Alexander Wang tops.

Light flowy tops in delicate lace will make you feel more pulled together when you throw them on with jeans.  The sleeves make them appropriate for most occasions too.

Long or short sleeve, fitted or loose you cannot go wrong with a striped top. These elevated basics are a great addition to your collection and you'll wear them year round.

Here we see this season's number one trend, the cold shoulder shown off in simple black and/or white.  As Donna Karan once said... the shoulders are the last thing to go.  So everyone should be showing them off!

We love a ruffle here at Elizabeth Charles and these crisp white cotton shirts are perfect examples.

This Veronica Beard sweater and T By Alexander Wang T-shirt are the perfect length to wear with skirts and pants with higher waists.

PERFECT TOPPER: These two summer jackets by Veronica Beard and R13 look perfect paired with skinny jeans and summer skirts.

DAY-TO-NIGHT: This black and white gingham skirt by Veronica Beard and this long elegant black skirt by Nili Lotan are two casual yet sophisticated pieces that will make your black and white wardrobe pop.

PANTS WITH A SLIT- A pair of black and white pants are a must-have to round out your wardrobe. These pants feature fun details that transform these classic trousers into statement pieces.

WHITE DENIM - We all love to wear jeans but dark denim can feel too heavy and serious for Spring. Instead, opt for these white distressed jeans and shorts by Alexander Wang and feel more festive and light!

LACE SHORTS -This season lace shorts adorned with floral details are the perfect pieces to dress up your daytime wardrobe.
